Here's northwoods camping at its best. The Serpent River Campground lies on the banks of the Serpent River and has great water access to Lake Huron's gorgeous North Channel. Its sheltered waters are great for boating. The thousands of lakes and streams north of Spragge also captivate outdoor devotees with their amazing canoeing and fishing opportunities.
Nearby attractions such as the the Fire Tower Lookout at Elliot Lake provides a phenomenal view of the endless stands of hardwoods, spruce, and cedar sheltering deer, moose, and other wildlife. There are nearby hiking, biking, and ATV trails that lead deep into the woods and along many of our pristene lakes. Spring wildflowers fill forest meadows and brighten the campground where you can fish right from the riverbank for species such as northern pike, perch, walleye (pikeral), trout, and bass!
Be sure to enjoy our pool and playground and join in monthly square dancing. Three golf courses are within a 30 minutes' drive to satisfy the golfer in the family. Stop at local farmers' markets on Saturdays to enjoy a fantastic selection of local produce and crafts.
